Our deep tech within highly efficient electrolysis and fuel cell systems will enable hydrogen as a competitive decarbonized energy carrier.

We introduce a novel electrolyser and fuel cell design with high efficiency, high current density and high pressure based on Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) technology.

Cost reduction is achieved by:

High efficiency electrolyser and fuel cells

Removing the need for hydrogen compressor and reducing the need for gas treatment

Reducing critical raw material consumption

Oxygen with high pressure as valuable by-product

The NORCE-led center, HyValue, will develop knowledge, methodology, and innovative solutions for hydrogen energy carriers. HyValue is a Centre for Environment-friendly Energy Research (FME), and is awarded NOK 15 million annually for 8 years, from the Research Council of Norway.

Building on Norwegian comparative advantages, HyValue aims to develop knowledge, methodology and innovative solutions for hydrogen energy carriers to build and support a competitive hydrogen energy sector.
